My mom makes mini quilts

Posted on Tuesday 18 January 2005

That is, quilts that are teeny weeny. Not large. Minute. They are incredibly detailed and well made, but take weeks to do instead of months to years. I’ve been offering to make a site for her for a while, but over Christmas she told me that a colleague had advised her to get a site up asap as that was a great way to market her work. Here’s what I’ve got so far, based on only quilt scans and no real input from her. We’ll see how it changes once the crafting queen has her say! :)

Love you mom, welcome to the digital age. (ducks as a spool of thread sails towards his head)

One thing I see immediately is that the quilt thumbnails are a bit too big. They are 200px square right now, and that may need to drop to 150px. As always, comments are welcome, assuming they relate to the topic.

The whole comp is about 300 pixels wide, so it’s a little difficult to tell…
