Update
Welp, for a couple reasons I’ve not posted the 1 week update as I had mentioned. But let’s talk about the good stuff!
I’m loving Knoxville. I’m loving our home. I’m loving the traffic, the cost of living (Green Peppers are 1/3 the cost of Green Peppers in VA.. go figure), and the lack of state tax (for now)…. I love that my family is close enough to visit any day, but far enough away that we don’t visit every day. I love having my wife back home, and am proud of her efforts in the Relay for Life of Hampton Roads. I love watching our dogs explore the yard and revel in every nook and cranny (under the deck is Caleb’s new love affair) and every lizard, bird, and mammal they get to chase.
I hate that my main computer has been down since before our move, and that my own efforts to fix it have failed.
I hate having to drive 33 miles to my job. That’s all I’ll say on that for now.
I dislike having missed some Lost and Alias episodes, but I like that life since the move has been unencumbered by daily television.
I hate having poisen ivy (or oak or sumac, who can tell!) I hate itching. I hate NOT itching. I hate brussel sprouts. I love my friend Ash’s spicy potatoe salad, and sushi, and dirty vodka martinis.
I love my friends, and miss the ones in VA. I’m happy to be seeing the ones in TN again after so rarely doing so the last few years.
