Mud Puppy
So most of the creative stuff I’ve been into the last year or so has ended up being mostly soft pastel in its final form. That being the case, I decided to see what I could do if I (gasp) actually used pastel paper, rather than the Canson paper I’d been using since I had it on hand at the time.
Here is the first of my animal series…. some of you may recognize the model.
The first night was mostly figuring out how to draw a dog.
Here we see the introduction of more funky dog colors.
Ah see, you thought it was going to be a polka dot dog, eh?
Here’s a look at my workspace for this project:

Yah, that’s my big boy, Caleb! Looking good! Love the one with the most color. Looks like he’s on the lowest level of the walkway in the back yard. I see what you mean by taking the picture of the subject at an angle, such as the barn shot over here by us. Your dog picture really helps make the point you were trying to get me to see. Love you, mom
We met with the builder on Tues. eve about several things such as where the fence should go. It’s to be a 6 ft. cedar one for our critters. It’s to already be up when we get there.

I love the picture! Caleb has grown up to be a handsome young man.
If you decide to do a limited print I want one.
