Kat, what a great idea!

:) Actually I have a show in November, for which I've been plowing through these pastel pieces in hopes of having enough of them that I don't have to raid my collection of older drawings and paintings. I've got 7 done and ready to go, one just getting started, and I would like to have 10 pieces total. So I may end up grabbing 1 or 2 pieces, more than likely charcoal or colored pencil pieces, to round out the set.

I particularly like the tones of the first one and the way the colors are so well blended together. It looks as if being in Tennesssee (amongst other things) has found some inspiration in you. You should consider creating enough art for a gallery and really show off your work.

Rich, you have been quite busy! A very interesting second piece! What do you know...the hand, another version of one of your trademarks. It snuck right in there didn't it. Even though both pieces are quite different because of the colors chosen, I can still pick out elements that were repeated in one form or another in both pieces. I like the colors in this second one best, but I still favor the design in the first one for some reason. Could it be that there are so many things going on in the second one? But, what do I know. They are both very good! Thanks for sharing your work. Love you, mom
