In the spirit of the season, my giving nature combined with my impulsive nature just now. Having watched Conan O’Brien the other night, I discovered that his musical guest of the night, Coldplay, was launching another tour in January 2006. So, having seen this amazing, astounding group in concert myself back in September with Jonnie and the crew, I knew right away that I had to make sure Rich didn’t miss the chance to see them in concert for himself.

Your early birthday gift is a pair of tickets to see the group in February at Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY. I’d be honored if you let me accompany you. Love you, baby.

Hmmm…my birthday gift to Rich for this year’s birthday was a pair of tickets to see Green Day. Could this be the start of a new birthday tradition?
