Today nine years ago Pattie and I had our first date. We went ice skating. I fell a couple times, from showing off… she didn’t fall at all, from playing it safe.
I asked her out via fax. We both conferred with friends to make sure it was a date, per the language in the fax. Ah, we were such nerds.
