One night left to Gogh

Nearly finished with Birch 2. I have to add some accents, punch up some chromatic darks and dark darks, then sign the thing.

Birch, the second

I have a fascination with paper birch trees. Their bark is incredible, with every color imaginable tracing through it, both shadow and highlight represented… semi-transparent in places, hanging off the trunk in whimsical tangles.. fun to shoot, fun to draw!

Her Way of Weaving, finished at long last

After a season of lying in wait on the board due to excessive heat and humidity in my garage studio, I caved and moved my studio up to the loft. I finished the portrait of my wife with the awesome fabric from Chinatown, so here it is.
