Yay, another pastel done. I’m always of mixed minds at this point.. glad it’s over and finished and I can hang it on the wall.. sad that I’ve done what I can to the piece.. I’ve called it, the game is over. No more cleaning up a line or darking a shadow. I can’t adjust the blue so it vibrates next to the green at a tad higher frequency.. no more making that branch more obviously below to THAT trunk, and so on.. finit, it’s over.

The last night’s work really brightened it up. The dilema now is whether I want to explore off the limb to the left where it’s really light or go on up and off to the right and float out into the the blue yonder. Seems like this piece could have a story accompanying it. Could it be the adventurous son coming out through the pastels? Very neat piece! Congratulations!
