I’m going to be the Featured Artist for the March show at my coop Gallery, Art Market Gallery. In preparation I’ve been trying to finish up several paintings and get a number of others ready for the show. This means varnishing, adding hooks and wire to hang them, deciding which ones should go into the featured section and which into the normal section… (each artist in the coop shows 3-4 a month, but the featured has to fill a whole wall in addition to the normal amount.) Needless to say I’m excited at the opportunity, but somewhat stymied by which pieces to show, how many to show, etc. Hopefully I will even sell something!
In other news, I probably have 3 more loads of pine debris to remove from the front and side of the lawn, and then a tractor trailer’s worth of debris to chip and distribute in the wooded sections of the lawn. Then, and only then, will we be able to rid ourselves of the white trash lawn title. Yay!
Again congrats for getting into the gallery. Very proud of you! We look forward to seeing the show either the night it opens or with a private tour. As much as I enjoy when you blog, you’ve probably had your hands full since the first of the year with getting things ready for the show. So you’re known as white trash now, huh! That sounds like a huge outdoor project you’re describing of all that tree rubbish. Are either of the two boys working dogs? Make ‘em haul a few logs. They’ll sleep like a log that those nights at least!
